Ehhhh... It takes a lot of PTA, booster club, and other parent orgs to keep the activities and arts going. Almost exclusively moms, all volunteer

Same goes for nurses and PTs, OTs, lab techs, LNAs and other female dominated health professions. Always paid as little as possible and overworked to burnout, expected to do paperwork on our own time or somehow get it all done WHILE doing patient care, which is impossible.

Honestly, I find that the younger generation of women teachers are much better at drawing boundaries and not working for free that those of us with 10+ years of experience. That could be because they are rushing to their second jobs, though...
