The Emoluments Clause is Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the US Constitution. It prohibits anyone holding a US office of profit or trust from accepting titles, emoluments, or offices from foreign states without Congressional consent.

Our Founders assumed that there would never come a time when Congress would be controlled by corrupt people that would ignore a President receiving emoluments.
The only enforcement mechanism for Art I, Sec 9, Cl 8, was impeachment. Which has always been a political, not a criminal, process.
So popular Presidents could get away with murder, unpopular Presidents could be impeached for imagined slights, and every President overseeing a polarized government need never worry about impeachment.
So technically emolument is a crime for which you cannot be punished at this time.
While I do understand it means ‘payments’, am I the only person who reads that and sees ‘emollients’ instead? I know Trump is a hard itch to scratch, but….🤷🏼♂️
I want a concise definition of clear and present danger to the United States. What does foreign AND domestic mean? What constitutes treason? Who makes that call? We need answers. We need some damn leadership.
Mostly, WTF is the military doing and who has keys to the nukes?
The original constitution has been declared unconstitutional by SCOTUS🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The thundering silence from the Republican controlled Congress, House and Senate, appears to indicate Congress has Consented.
