Definitely.. peace has reduced identity related to sectarianism and left ppl with the idea that now the Republic is increasingly progressive being Irish & European is positive.

in the 2021 census the 2 fastest growing groups in Northern Ireland were:

1. people who do not identify as green or orange (unaligned)
2. people who have no religion.

I meant brexit changed the conversation about "Do you want an United Ireland?".

Unaligned voters (30%) don't care about flags. They just care about jobs, health, security and opportunities.

so the question now is "do you want to stay in the EU with Ireland or otside the EU with brexit GB?*

I tend to agree Sue. I visit often and since brexit the english appear to be regressing further and further into an odd form of feudalism.

I'm there at the moment and can confirm bananas in shops are fierce bendy. So there is that, I suppose.
