Senator Chris Murphy has been with him on the floor (mostly off camera) the whole time. It is up to We The People to form a more perfect union, establish justice, and secure the blessings of liberty. Vote, protest (April 5th), write/call your representatives. We can do better, we must do better.
Reading replies and frankly I am gobsmacked at how anyone can find fault with him. IMO he’s trying to do something/anything. But what do I know, maybe negativity, mockery, and other forms of social media anger is more vital to democracy.

Values should be the foundation of policy. Trump’s transactional approach makes it difficult to determine what his values are - other than money and power.
Not accurate. The “conservatives” are constantly claiming “values” when they do things that are unethical, cruel, nationalistic, and authoritarian. “Values” is subjective and easily used to manipulate.
My point is that electors should consider carefully a politician’s values when deciding whether to vote for them. I would always try to judge values on what they do rather than just what they espouse.
Ideally, yes. Unfortunately most people are driven to distraction; short on time & mental space. Even non-culty people struggle to spend enough mental activity outside their immediate lives to learn the recent history of those running for office, and the info-sphere itself is poisoned. It’s hard.

They are. Dem Senators are rising to ask Booker lengthy questions — which gives him a break while they make points about the cruelty of Trump, Musk and DOGE. His answers have been excellent. As far as the filibuster itself, Booker started it so he has to continue. No one can take over for him.
They need to sneak Keegan-Michael Key in to replace Booker for a few hours so he can rest and come back later for another 14 hours. The Republicans and the media won't recognize the difference.

This is admirable, but during Biden's presidency Trump was constantly making headlines with his rallies. Where's the equivalent Democrat response? I've barely heard mention of AOC out and about. Yeah, they have jobs to do, but there needs to be a strong, massive, unified response from the Dems.
