Assign a staffer to check wait times on the SSA phone lines several times a day & ask your constituents to report any SSA problems to your office & prioritize those reports.
It's mainly because they have fired the manpower they would need to program it into the system. Let's hear it for antiquated systems. I think if our voices mattered they would have stopped. We're gonna have to roar! To be heard.
Imagine the cruelty it takes to cut off phone service to Social Security offices to the elderly, the disabled and others in need for no other reason than to make these folks suffer. I am sick of the cruelty.
