I’m sickened, heartbroken, and enraged by the new LAT. I first subscribed to the paper because it had the best reporting on the signs and impact of climate change and the environment, and environmental policies—not just in the West, but globally. The oligarchy has to go.

I have often felt the same in recent years about this. It was built in a much better time 2004. Renzo cannot predict the future owners and the decline of this tabloid right wing rag it is today.

I don’t read many articles from the times anymore as I’ve noticed this shift. Everyone has an opinion but not all opinions are equal. I prefer opinions from people with relevant experience or solid qualifications on the topic if I’m looking at the news. Otherwise it’s as reliable as any online post

Blandness and trying to appeal to the unappealing are the most common reason why legacy media is on death’s door. Where is the fighting for a just cause of the past? If you don’t have a point of view why do you have an opinion page? Things like false equivalence and bothsiderism have fatal costs.
