I’m sorry to say, that’s no contradiction. Unless you make changes substantial enough for them to change their decision, all you do is hold some or most of them hostage for what is a good cause. Reality is MAiD is federal, healthcare is provincial. 🤷‍♂️

In 2022, approx 12% of the individuals that died by state administered euthanasia did not have access to required disability services. 2.5% had no access to palliative care of any kind. There are no guard rails, more and more people will slip through cracks as our social safety nets are cut

I just emailed Developmental Services Ontario the other day ahead of my scheduled meeting Monday. I said I can’t take another no, sorry, or closed door. They either help me ease my suffering, or help me into MAID. The whole disability system is inhumane, and traumatic to endure.
