I was on holiday when the first couple of episodes aired so didn’t see Rose until WEEKS into series 1 - luckily my friend had taped the original broadcast onto VHS (2005 eh??)

Wild. After seeing some classics, it was Rose that kickstarted my love of Doctor Who. I know this ep is not traditionally rated well, but its too iconic to dislike in anyway. Also! To celebrate 20 years of NuWho, I got a tardis tat!

I was 8 when Rose was 1st broadcast. I remember my mum buying the radio times which had an mini guide to the series & I immediately became obsessed even asking to cancel my 9th birthday meal out & eat in as it clashed with the broadcast of ‘the doctor dances’. I still love watching the series today

Rose did receive massive compensation in the form of space-time travel. I found the mannequins so scary. That is when I knew I was hooked. Loved the Britishness of it all. Binged all episodes after that which I could get my hands on.

In America, the show premiered on the scifi channel and with no knowledge of what was happening my dad sat my tiny self down and said 'I think you'll like this.' He had no idea the obsession that would be born!
