Tbf it's one of the most unique Mario related troll things ever, the fact that you balance it around "let's make it really annoying but not hard" is really appreciated. A lot of the little Timmy mario maker troll levels are just enemy spam, 500 hidden blocks and 3 separate dev exits, that isn't fun.

For sure! I think if anything I should maybe make some stuff a little easier since my perspective on difficulty is tainted a little bit by my skill level. Maybe slow down that one rolling hill in 1-1 (I always slow it down in repeat 1-1s), add extra checkpoints too.

TRUE but I think SOME hard elements must remain in order for a sense of achievement to be had by the player (like the world 4 ghost house and vertical 1-1 are moderate challenges that feel great to beat because 1 level is super long and the other level is Getting Over it with Bennett Foddy) 1/2

if anything was to go, it would be the pick a door in 1-fortress and the bomb excavation in 1-castle. not because they're tedious (that is absolutely fine by me) but because something more ambitious would be more interesting.

I kind of like how unambitious world 1 is. It's neat to see how the mod got more ambitious as time went on, and it's nice to see each world outdo the previous one.

That being said, since people do tend to give up early in this mod (no idea why), I do understand why you'd want to improve world 1.
