They could instead stabilize BTC by saying it can be used to pay off US federal tax debt, either at the current USD/BTC rate, OR at the historical USD/BTC exchange rate that applied ON the provisional tax due date for that income period (so: eg if income generated between Jan and March, Apr 15)

The bitcoin is "worth billions of dollars" as are the billions of dollars that will be spend acquiring the bitcoin.

And unlike the bitcoin, the dollars will continue to be worth dollars.

PS: This is a way to make the US Gov invested in bitcoin value so they'll support it like the dollar. F that.
