UPDATE: I ran the numbers, and it appears that — as of today — *more than 80%* of 135 Catholic cardinals currently eligible to vote in the next conclave were appointed by Pope Francis.

But conclave cliques aren't like political parties, so while Francis tended to appoint cardinals who shared his values, that doesn't necessarily predict what they'll prioritize *as pope.*
