Am I alone in thinking the PS1 aesthetic was peak? The PS2 bored me a little and the PS3 just looked…strange. The PS4 I didn’t hate, I admit. Boring, but it kind of reminded me of brutalist architecture (in a good way). But the PS5 seems like some obnoxious skyscraper. Just slap “Salesforce” on it.

I do quite like the particular shade of gray on the PS1 console/controllers/etc but I still prefer the sleek, monolithic look of the PS2 overall (especially the Slim).

The PS3's designs have definitely been consistent in their weird choices of rounded edges here and there. 🤔

I can't argue that the PS2 is sleek. If the intent was to follow up the classic PS1 look with something that says, "Modern, powerful, slim", the PS2 nailed it. Then the PS3 looked bloated, lol.

If nothing else, I gotta give it credit for the top-loader design.

When my old 40GB model died, I had to take the whole thing apart just to get Rayman Origins outta the disc drive lol
