I’m pretty sure dollars are DIRECTLY proportional to education success.

BRENNAN: Kentucky receives $2b in federal education funding. Do you have a guarantee that the federal govt will still provide it? That seems important to your state
RAND PAUL: What I'd rather is a guarantee my kids can read and write and do math ... Dollars are not proportional to education success

Did I get that right?
Which is also the reason nearly all donor states are Blue States, and Kentucky needs blue state money every fucking year.
The world is competitive: we need education for ALL AMERICANS to be excellent!
Yup cut it all! You're states' students will be so grateful you represent them & their needs when there are 40 students to 1 teacher & not enough books
The idea that poor kids can't grow up to cure cancer or build the future is built in to this ludicrous proposition.
Look at Trump: golden spoon and great schools; yet still a moron who knows nothing about government, law, history, education, Constitution, economics
Give people a fish and they eat for a day.
Teach them to fish and they eat for a lifetime.
It's all about privatizing education and everything else with no regard for promoting the general welfare.
Add in a classroom aide and appropriate leveled books, engaging manipulatives, games, and space to learn
Give students a well paid highly qualified teacher
Yes, money can make a difference
20 kids with a good teacher are better off than 32 with a great teacher.
The USA is sixth among the 81 countries

It's understandable that he was such an asshole that his neighbor had a serious lapse in judgement...
I was a military kid. I went to 16 different schools mostly in the South, Southwest & California.
Money absolutely makes a difference.
Holy hell Batman - the poor schools had nothing compared to the wealthier schools.

Those poor kids...
In 2024, 6.4 billion dollars of Kentucky’s annual budget will be allocated to KDE (Kentucky Department of Education). Despite this, U.S. News ranks Kentucky #32 in education among all 50 states.
Until we address the structural issues underlying poverty and working poor, the bottom line is poor & working poor kids will suffer in the long run.
He doesn’t even realize when his own state is screwed!
Wants to privatize everything
It’s Putin and Heritage fascist playbook
His donor base kids got to private schools which is why they want the transferable tax credits

Week 3: "This decay of the educational system is not our fault."
Week 4:"Yeah, we did it, and we're glad. It's too late now. Are you triggered? Cry about it more."
If we want to fix schools, we need to fix poverty.
Sen. Paul's is blinded by his libertarian ideology & can't see his policies are responsible for educational underachievement & poverty.
He’s safe from thinking people.
