The weak overcome the strong IF they persist.
It may not be a grand victory or displacing the “strong” but persisting is existing. Continuing to exist when forces are trying to eradicate you is victory.

A bit of both. It suggests that oppressed people can change things if they work together. At the same time, mob rule can bring us into chaos. Ultimately, it may suggest that life is just an ongoing struggle, hollowed out of any value.

I find strength in it. You hear Stay Strong from well meaning people, but sometimes it doesn’t resonate. I would relate more to Sure You’re Weak, But Persist Anyway. 😁

“Survival of the fittest” is not about strength, but who is most fit for the changing habitat. She was mostly surrounded by people who were weak, but adaptable…the most fit for what was to come.

So much strength it speaks to now in so many ways. The definition of strength matters here, and I know there are more of us than them in so many respects, but it takes a movement to overcome. We cannot sit back and hope someone else will do the work to overcome.

I am reminded of Malcolm Gladwell's book, "David and Goliath." In this work, Gladwell asserts that the underdog triumphs in many instances because he is forced to be more innovative.

The messages of community, persistence, rebuilding were very uplifting for me despite the grind of daily violence around them. At the end, even as they bury the dead they plant new trees.
