Pro tip for window-seaters: When booking, take note of time of day and direction of plane's travel, so you won't have to deal with direct sun or glare. Choose the correct side of the plane and enjoy the view.

Slight disagreement

Frequent flyer here: window seat does not get to blare sunlight at 7am on a NYC to SFO business trip. Unwritten rule.
Maybe on Jet blue where applauding when plane lands those are the rules.
