a knock-on effect from this is an increasing number of new anime watchers treat fanservice as this scandalous thing when it used to be much more normalized &pervasive. It's all well &good if someone doesn't want to see that stuff of course, but I wish their dislike wasn't so "how outrageous" feeling

there is an individual in a discord i am in that basically monopolizes the anime discussion on how "horny" it is like some kind of annoying badge
