I take this back.
After Keir Starmer’s news conference this aft, where he nailed his colours firmly to Ukraine & Zelenskyy’s mast & openly reiterated his opposition to Putin’s military advances, there’s no way he can now return from the US waving a piece of paper.
Don’t let me down now, Keir!

I hate to say it, but I can see Keir Starmer stepping off a plane next week (after his visit to meet Trump) with a piece of white paper in his hand.

It's what they DO that matters.
Let's see ..
His main aim has been to mend the UK's economy & fabric but now he's being forced to move onto the international stage. I think (hope) he'll stick to his principles
"I think Trump has definitely improved the conversation regarding Ukraine"
Not verbatim but it's what he said.
@iandunt.bsky.social was well f**ked off about it. It will be in his bluesky posts
There's no way they don't have an agreed plan in place of what each will do and how they'll act.
This would be sublime 😁
What line will Starmer take on Thursday?
I now wonder whether there will be a press conference, with live stream? It might be that there will be nothing live in case trump gets upstaged again.
[Mind you, knowing Trumpf, the kite would probably bounce.]
🤨
This speech was balanced and measured.
No unnecessary threats or hyperbole.
Starmer will hopefully come into his own with this.
