I've been (very) peripherally involved in TV stuff, and I'm always amazed at how this is just a standard day at work for people. Do you ever stop and think, this is a bit weird and surreal, how did I get here? I ask as you've always struck me as a fairly down to earth bloke.

I was watching a the snooker yesterday and and said ‘it’s funny to think that John Higgins has made a a handsome living into to his fifties from pushing a white ball into other coloured balls’. I wonder if he ever wonders at the absurdity at that?

Did you ever watch the Paxman episode of Who Do You Think You Are? It was fascinating. He naturally thought he was from the upper echelons, but the reality was the opposite. It literally ended in tears.

It was fascinating on many levels. If you can watch it, I highly recommend it.

I don’t think it’s the job though, I think it’s about attitude. You’ve got a positive but humble outlook, accepting one’s own privilege compared to others actually really makes things easier & happier in any walk of life I believe. It also makes for a nicer person😊

Very pragmatic Man is Reece. I draw similarities with Peter Cushing. Greatly respected by his peers and fans equally, never said a negative word about anyone that didn't deserve it, never up himself. Generous to others and always guided those new to the business.

I accidentally worked in the railway business. Best thing that could have happened to me. It's like a family that makes and operates machines, and then continuously designs and makes better ones. We always bought the highest technology for everything.
