I had no idea if I could do sit com. I’d done comedy on stage and had loved the feeling of it.
Quite frankly, I’m a little surprised I haven’t done much more tv comedy… only stage.
I guess your career takes you wherever it wants to. 🤷♂️

Oh, good Lord, it doesn't feel like 40 years. You were so funny, the pair of you. I think it was a departure for John Thaw, but did you think you'd be doing comedy? Whatever your plans, it worked!

He had a prop from a movie called The Cottage he did, his own head with spine attached, it's impressively creepy in real life too.
