Wait. Nevermind, I've unfortunately never dealt with BluOS. For some reason I thought it was just ransomware on your windows server storing it. I'm sorry!!
The drive has now been added to my windows defender list of “protected folders” but that presumes the ware got in via the pc - I have no way of knowing that with my level of skill.
That's not a bad idea but I'm guessing that because everything else wasn't encrypted, it was a more direct attack on the device. It may not feel like it but you might have got off lightly.

It may be worth checking to see if there are any AV solutions compatible with BluOS.
I just need to work out how to isolate the decvice (for the future) and reset it - I can copy my backup across onto it I think.
