It’s a blast to ride. Price is about $2-3k too high, but for a city runabout, it’s pretty perfect.

I love the CE 02 as well! I think an added challenge in the States is that BMW only offers the higher capacity variant here, and it requires a motorcycle endorsement in most (all?) states. In Europe, a lower power version that qualifies as a sub-50cc moped is also offered.

It looks like those have been for sale in the US since early 2024, but I've never seen one here in LA.
