Yes, Bluejeans is a third party app that provides an alternative UI to browsing Bluesky. When you log in, it uses a process called OAuth that allows you to grant login permissions to the Bluejeans app from the Bluesky website.

Regarding information access, I'm honestly not 100% sure what the implications are. Right now the site stores your session to allow you to use Bluesky and in the future it will allow you to make scheduled posts.

If you want to permanently revoke your session choose "Log out of Bluejeans from all devices" when logging out.

This looks incredible! I might make the full switch over to your lovely client once it's fleshed out further, hopefully with a dark mode. I've been wanting a bsky client that makes stronger use of web page space for a while now, this scratches that itch perfectly! Keep up the great work!

I really like the UI so far. I haven't logged in yet though cause I'm a little wary if I can't use the custom login info from the Bluesky security settings. Are there plans to enable that by chance?

Heya, responding from my alt account while I'm away from home. Thank you! Bluejeans utilizes OAuth for login which is what is currently being recommended by Bluesky: https://docs.bsky.app/blog/oauth-atproto

This is similar to a "Log in with Google" button in that it redirects you to https://bsky.social first, where you can then securely enter your password, and then redirects you back to the app. Always make sure the URL is https://bsky.social when entering your password this way (for any third party client).
