Reading books again. My news obsession has finally come to an end. Totally addicted since 2016. Has been a 💩show and chaos everyday. This election broke the obsession. Don't want to watch our 4 yr free fall on a full time basis.

It really does feel better to stop the doomacrolling and not following the 24hr mews cycle. I can't handle a repeat of 2017-2021 but worse, where everything is mass chaos always
Same!! I've added 326 books to my TBR for the next 4 yrs and will continue to add more! Since the election, I have dove head first back into listening to audiobooks & reading. Ready to disassociate for 4 yrs!!
That is a healthy choice. We don't need to be miserably immersed in the news constantly to be informed. The main events will come to our attention when/if they are supposed to!

I too watched news for hours each day, for years. Originally watched cnn until licht fucked it up. Moved to msnbc and stopped watching just before the election.
