Would love to see an elected leader say that folks in the government who are breaking the law will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Low information voters don't know/don't care about any of this. More effective to just get a Dem (like JB Pritzker) in the WH. Then make sure they hire a pitbull for AG and then sic them on the grifter-traitors. Ninja move. Oh, and NO MERRICK GARLANDS. I can't emphasize this enough.
Judges and juries aren't elected for the most part and what the Department of Justice is able to do sure seems to depend based upon what I've seen over the last few years of watching it closely.
Trump used his position to make sure he wouldn't face repercussions for the crimes he committed before becoming America's irremovable tyrant. There is no way he, the criminals in his administration, or the gutless cowards in his congress are going to let themselves be removed to be held accountable.
Trump was impeached 2x. Dems didn't have enough votes in the Senate to remove him for either trial. Then SCOTUS decided Hair Furor can't be prosecuted for "official duties". He in turn is pardoning anyone showing loyalty. Recourse & accountability's diminishing until something significant changes.
@davidoatkins.bsky.social laid out the case pretty well - you really want folks with power making decisions with the idea firmly in their mind that they might face consequences for obeying Trump along with the consequences for disobeying him
And he's not already promised blanket pardons for all federal crimes? The only way anyone is going to face consequences will be if they violate state laws.

That’s Democrat talk.
We don’t have that anymore.
And it rarely happens, but to a few thrown under the bus for distraction.
Santos, for example.
Who gave Trump the power to do everything he's doing now.
