It's notable because that's the one blog that gets quoted anytime genre romance surfaces in the news. It's also interesting because they are cited and linked to in the Cassie Edwards page--and have been since at least 2008.
I’ve been considering for a long while that romance, urban fantasy, and other related genres need a dedicated wiki. (We need also need a place to keep track of all the Knoxes and Jaxes and Cades.)
and sadly, there are starting to be echoes of the same patterns in my dayjob's professional organization which is both fascinating and horrifying, because I expect that the same elements are canaries in coalmines everywhere.
Yay us. So far as I know, my dayjob org is just institutional powergrubbing and gatekeeping by an exec director of a member-driven organization, but I expect similar shit to ooze out eventually.
