I had almost forgotten about that. How to act, talk, don't remove your head etc... I wasn't aware of some hateful behaviors until much later. There may be a couple things from the past that can be missed (Smaller in size) Overall, things are MUCH better today.

The old fandom they miss is the very non-inclusive, puritan pressured fandom where they were welcome to sling hate around with no consequence. I don't miss it, the fandom is leaps and bounds better than it used to be. Those who disagree are the types as I just explained. Fuck 'em, we're thriving.

As someone who's been furry since around 1997, I completely agree. I remember trying to get on the super secret murrsuit groups and such
How having a zipper was social death.

You can replace fandom with society and be just as correct too

God, I remember the 90s fandom, and it is leaps and bounds more inclusive and better now. Hell, for the longest time one of the premier comedians in the fandom was a racist, sexist nazi that hid behind the thinly veiled defines of it's comedy before they were ousted for what they truly were
