They are the same slicer, Elegoo is just based on Orca, I assume with some functions turned off. For now I think Orca still doesn't connect to the Centauri Carbon but should soon... but I am using then Elegoo Slicer for now.

Really? Cuz I've been using Orca with the Elegoo Centauri Carbon profile for a while. I bounced back to Elegoo only because Orca didn't do layer count and doesn't do time lapse. Until someone showed me the gcode to enable layer counting in Orca Slicer for the CC.
Yeah... that is the thing... Orca and Elegoo Slicer are basically the same software... I caught some issues with Elegoo Slicer about not setting the correct print bed temperature in higher temperature materials ( it will not go past 90C without some tweaking with gCode )...
As you mentioned... Orca doesn't fully support the Centauri Carbon... it works but is not a full support... I am waiting until the Elegoo changes migrate back into Orca somehow... but essentially... they are the same software more or less with some customization on top...
