I can admit he was bad in many areas
I can also admit where he was great like for labor and workers rights and some other stuff my family benefited from

The NLRB, CFPB, and FTC did tremendous work under Biden. But Joe destroyed not just his legacy, but his party with his actions in the last year and a half of his presidency. They had to defend everything awful and it cost them, and us, so much more than was gained.

It's a shorthand of what I normally hear, but It means that he expected her to never break from anything he did. It was a reminder that because he stepped aside for her to run, it was more important to him that she defend his legacy, look united, and not say she would have done things differently.
