Exactly. As long as billionaires can buy influence, everyday people get priced out of democracy. Ending Citizens United is step one. Power should belong to voters—not the highest bidder.

In fact, this should be the first thing that our government should be doing. It's way past time 2 get big money/corruption out of our politics. Next, they should do term limits (no more than 4 terms in the House and no more than 2 terms in the Senate) and reduce gerrymandering as much as possible.

Also, background checks on political candidates (including their work history and education and their criminal record) and they must live in the district they are supposed to represent. In summary, electoral reform must happen first and then Congress can focus on fixing other issues.

Various have been proposed, but getting it done will take a mass movement, and that will require a merger of populists from both left and right.
