Every time I send an email, I get ~1.5k views
vs.
I have 5k+ followers on LinkedIn, sometimes my post will get engagement, sometimes not - even though the content is pretty much the same
I think in LI and other social media you're always playing with algorithms, they may change, they may take into consideration new factors
With email everything is pretty straightforward. If people get what they subscribed for, they keep reading.
besides it's also much more motivating to build an email list imho - it's actually yours
no one will delete your account
