Apparently we owe both the Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry to the new Pope's namesake, Leo XIII. He's the one who, when asked to lend art to the 1893 fair, said, "Is the building fireproof?" And so there was a place to hold exhibits from which the museums grew. #Chicago
