In my case most of them died from COVID during his first term. So yeah, they would probably still support him, if he hadn’t killed them; so there is that. Now no one is safe and people worldwide have already started dying. I’ve learned so many things that I will never forget.

I was at a family funeral on Saturday. My daughter is anti maga and lets everyone know it.She managed to get into two arguments before I managed to extricate her.All very good humoured and we are Irish.It must be hell to live it in USA.

America just didn’t have a good enough education overall to critically examine his claims. Even if we fixed it today it would be at least a decade before it showed up in the next generation of voters. Do we even have a decade?
I lost friends and family when I -1.came out and -2. When I voted for President Obama. With Trump 1.0, they just became worse. I realized I had outgrown the need for them at all. With Trump 2.0, they are insufferable, and I dont even miss them.
Exact same situation here!! Couldn’t stand the hate and hypocrisy and moved 1,700 miles away in 2006 just to avoid them. Gradually it got easier for me to just stop communicating. I haven’t spoken to any biological family since 2013. Glad I didn’t have to witness their love for Trump!!
Yeah we had the same in the UK since 2016 Brexit, and then generally the Tory govt. I haven't spoken to my parents or sister for a few years now, and tbh it's a relief to be free of all their nastiness and lack of empathy.

This hits so hard. I haven't been able to talk to half of my family without feeling ill. And they call and text to see my daughter and threaten me with court orders unless I bring her around. They've abused me my entire life and I'm just supposed to take my kid over there with a smile. 🤢
I stay away as much as I can. They are good to her they just hate me and my liberal partner. I refuse to speak to multiple family members at all. My grandfather just died and my father guilt trips me into going to see my hypocrite grandmother. The second I push back or disagree she goes offensive.
I don't text or call. I only take her over to see my grandmother maybe once every other month since November. My dad just shows up at my house. It feels like an impossible situation most days. I just avoid them all at all costs until my back is against the wall.
They can threaten you all they want, they have zero rights to your child. Cut them off and when your kiddo asks why, be honest. When she's an adult, she can make the decision to have a relationship with them if she wants
Thank you so much for these words and your strength. I stay away from them for weeks, months but they reel me back in with guilt. I was going strong until my grandfather died and I felt bad about my grandmother being alone. But I still cringe when I think about talking to or seeing them.
Understand however your Father is toxic..and absolutely no one should “guilt” you into anything especially a parent.. this is straight up mental abuse and it will definitely affect and infect your child. There’s no telling the mind games he’s subjecting her to while you’re not present. sorry😢🌈
I agree. I'm in therapy now and I never leave her alone with them ever. My grandmother begs to babysit but I don't and won't allow it. They're the types that horribly spoil children until they are big enough to have thoughts and feelings of their own. Then they crush them. I won't allow it.
I no longer speak to my Trumper family members, I can't wait to hear that they're dead. They turned on the country that gave them everything. Like my sister Colonel Vicky Tuten retired from the US army who lives in Texas.
The Trump voters in my circle have been awfully quiet all year so far. I share tons of horrible things he's done regularly and they have yet to share any thoughts or regrets. I really can't tell if they're embarrassed of what they voted for or if they're annoyed with me.
