It's a really great pattern, very flexible as to how many shelves and what you want on each shelf. My daughter just got two kittens so that's why I added the kitties to it since this is a gift for her.
Amazing! I love when people swing big and try something really ambitious when learning a new skill. Ive bern crocheting for over 40 years and haven't tackled colour work like this. Is this your design or from an existing pattern?
What a nice comment! This is from an existing pattern using the mosaic crochet technique. I followed all the YouTube tutorials by Tina Thorvalder, she is amazing !
that much detail and it's only your first??? I've not tried anything with images yet I'm terrified and I've basically been crocheting for 30 years (just basics)
It's the mosaic crochet technique and honestly was so easy! Only one row at a time, one color at a time, and only single or double crochet stitches. Great tutorials on YouTube.
This is exceptional, especially for a first project. I thought at first it might be a C2C (corner to corner) but it looks like double stitch throughout (is it?) which makes it especially marvelous!
Looks great! Thereβs a yarn saying, βmake a mistake to let your soul escape,β and I like to think it applies to both intentional and unintentional ones π
Thatβs amazing for a first project! Well done! β₯οΈ I always say that my blankets are perfectly imperfect because thereβs always a mistake in there somewhere.

I'm truly giddy over this piece, Kelly.
I've never done C2C but I've seen people do some really neat things with it, lots of blankets with images.
Signed, someone who's been crocheting for 37 years.
Not possible.
