I went to Yosemite in '80 or '81 and all my photos came back looking like postcards. It is so beautiful and picturesque!
Also, I'm glad you gave the photographer credit. I have been consciously blocking folks who post photos without giving credit & am glad others think this is important, too.
I am an amateur photog and I live near the Yosemite gates. I go there whenever the whim strikes.
There are only two ways to take a bad picture in Yosemite.
Point the camera straight up.
Point it straight down.
But even that sometimes doesn't work.
Iβve seen some great pictures of Yosemite Valley - it is one of my favorite places on earth - but this photo is one of the best Iβve seen. Thanks for sharingβ¦
I love how the mist is hugging the Merced River. I miss going there. Being in Yosemite right-sizes me. It reminds me that I am a small part of a greater, more wonderful context. And it is beautiful.
It's really sad that AI has made everyone so paranoid (rightfully) about whether a photo is real or not, so it's hard to blame people for skepticism, but I think asserting it's AI when someone doesn't know for sure reeks of "umm ahk-tually" faux intellectual rigor.
Possible they just found it and didn't know it was cropped as well. It was kind of tricky for me to reserve image search it to find the original creator as well.

Lucky you that you live so close to one of the most beautiful places in the country!
But thanks for calling out this photographerβs phenom work.
