Perfect proof that folks are still making music as great as folks now labeled “geniuses.” 🙌

full duo gig? (no bassist?)

Yeah, was expecting the bassist to appear at some point, but he never did! (there was an incredible "china doll" cover btw)

curious, wonder if that was only a brief experiment. bassist was totally solid, but not sure how much it added to the sound for me.

yeah i've never really thought that these guys needed anything else in a live setting ...

I honestly think it might be as simple as Paul is there on bass when he doesn’t have Punch Brothers gigs. (I have never heard a Punch Brothers song.)

I can hear how good it is through the not that great pic, therefore it works. (Just saw them at Carnegie recently and oof.)
