Here in the Netherlands there is also a commemoration of the dead on the Sunday before the last Monday in May, the American soldiers who died during the Second World War are commemorated. In Margraten alone, 8,301 soldiers from the United States are buried. These heroes will never be forgotten!

Ever wonder why the US Army Band in Washington is called "Pershing's Own?" Do you even know who General Pershing is and his relation to WWI? And flying ace Eddie Rickenbacker (I have a faded autograph from him)? My grandfather was at St Nazaire during WWI in the 267th Remount Squadron.
