Me neither.
I think that nuance is often missing in your comments. Isreal is one thing, the current Israeli government, another. The racists prefer people to use the former (which is code for Jews).
How about in between? Current Israeli govt, it's founding myths and truths, its expansionism, it's use of anti-semitism as a tool to suppress criticism, it's right wing, widespread bigotry in society against Arabs and more. Its bollox to say its one leader and one party that has left Israel astray
It’s fine to use ‘current Israeli government’. I agree that it’s extreme and right wing. I’m asking that in criticising Israel we use precise language so that the valid points cannot be misunderstood as support for Jew-hatred/Hamas and, equally importantly, cannot be simply brushed aside as such.
Nb to clarify, 'in between', as in truth lies in between current govt and all of Israel, society and institutions. (Rather than in between current govt and anti-semitism. Obviously.)
It is. And they do. Unfortunately its system of proportional representation usually means that the extremes often end up with disproportionate power in government. It is however an extremely vibrant democracy.
Now they’re saying the Supreme Leader is a target. Yes, assassinating the head of state of a country with a massive military and zero fooks to give about declaring total war is such a good idea
