Doesn’t surprise me. Usually happens after a long day on my feet or when I’m under high stress. I also have psoriatic arthritis, so that might have something to do with it.
I’d describe it as a sudden intense muscle spasm. For me it feels like someone is grabbing my leg and or foot and is twisting it hard in two different directions. Excruciating pain.
Magnesium helps. Also when one starts, flex your foot gently upward or put a little pressure on your foot. Stops mine every time. I wish I had learned this sooner.

FWIW, I don’t know if it matters if it’s dill or sweet, but I go with dill.
