this is also a land use problem. we’ve intentionally pushed the people most likely to *need* safe cycling infrastructure to the places where it’s most difficult and costly to provide it. an enormous moral failure for a city that believes itself progressive

although I suppose this is a distinction without a difference, in a way. we’re actively removing bike lanes in the densest parts of the city, and closing others without a single thought given to a safe detour
