You make fun of Pride parades every year. Then one day, you fall madly in love… and they invite you to their drag show. Hope you like sequins, sweetheart.
The "snakes" were pagans so if he could do anything for your capitol, it would be driving out anyone in opposition of fascism. Not exactly who you should be praying to.
@markhamillofficial.bsky.social I would love a follow back. I’ve added you to a few of my Starter packs. And I love Star Wars. You’re awesome. #resist #strongertogether #bluecrew 💙
Thinking of my great great grandfather today. An immigrant who came to this country with one chest of belongings. Because he wanted a better life for his family. The hope that America used to promise.
How far we've come from those days. How shameful.
2025 is the Chinese Year of the Snake.
Today is St. Patrick’s Day, who according to legend banished snakes from Ireland.
IRL, we currently have many snakes in DC banishing people from the United States.
Are you on Team Saint or Team Snake?
Hint: If you want to banish EMPATHY you are NOT a Saint!!
“And may you be in heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you’re dead!”
I dined 43 years ago with the great Irish actor Pat O’Brien and his wife Eloise. While appearing in a local dinner theater production, they befriended a HS friend’s mom who worked at a nearby pub. I’ve never forgotten it.
The longer we normalize helplessness, the worse our situation as a people. The Constitution not to mention the Age of Enlightenment is at peril from disappearing. 🍀
2 reasons I don't celebrate St Patrick's Day.
1/ St Patrick tried to vanquish paganism with his Christianity beliefs and
2/ drove out snakes from Ireland which didn't actually happen but still I dislike the very thought of that so I like Ireland just not St Patrick.
St Patrick's Day will always be the weird unfortunate anniversary of my father's passing during Covid. But to put a positive spin on the day I now have a permanent excuse to be freely "over served" once a year. Blessings to all ☘️

Saint Patrick didn't drive snakes out of Ireland, Catholics drove Pagans out of their homeland and destroyed their religious belief system.

May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand. - Irish Blessing☘️
