So… I did a thing I'm proud of. Grateful to @thewhn.bsky.social for publishing my piece on masking at work, long-term health, and staying grounded in a chaotic world. If you’ve ever felt stuck between clowns and jokers… you’ll get it. https://whn.global/stuck-in-the-middle-with-masking-playing-the-long-game-in-a-short-sighted-age/

Thought came to me as I was reading, about the opposition I’ve received because I still mask in all risk situations.
“Those who matter, don’t mind and those who mind don’t matter”.
Lucky my skin has become thick as a rhino these days.
"The mask doesn't hide me. It reveals me."👌🏼
Interestingly, no eye-rolling responses as with any mention of covid.
It's sad it took a transplant to get ppl to *kind of* understand masking.
I wished more people still had a moral compass.
Thanks again for this piece.
52 yrs ago I promised: we’d stick together forever.
It might happen anyway but I refuse to volunteer for that, miserable and and a drain on everyone around me from something preventable.
It reminds me of when a coworker told me I could remove my mask for a recent departmental photo. I said "No thank you, I'd rather be visible".
She was confused, but didn't insist after that.
Thank you for your work.
But yes, thanks so much for giving me permission ;) to remove it. /s
It’s very comforting.
Right there with you!
