He refers to “tests” (plural) later down the thread so he might have learnt this/be using something like Metrix. It’s possible he has another virus than COVID even if America is likely entering a wave

It could be a bad test brand, or 2-3 early/back-to-back tests, and/or poor methodology… or a different virus. But gauging from international reporting, Hawaii & California (& a few weeks ago, Louisiana), everything in US suggests that we should assume COVID unless otherwise detected.

It could also been that he’s done a staggered test panel, or used a high end test. We could all do with home NAAT tests being normalised for sure. We need better outreach strategies than always assuming user failure though. People will tune out even more

I honestly did not know that. When is the right time and how many/often (it's not like I usually have more than one or two on my bookshelf, not being a medical professional). Never seen mouth included. References/advice? Thanks :)
