Republicans are cowards as well as being evil. May every one of those evil cowards get the karma that they deserve for voting yes on this big ugly bill
Well on the upside, us Brit’s won’t have to endure any more USA TV medical dramas, as only the wealthy will enjoy medical care…..not much worth watching there…
What a homemade lie.
Thinking people know funds have been collected from everyone’s wages, matched by employers and held for everybody getting Medicare.
The government does not pay for Medicare.
We the people already did.
And let’s not forget that every month additional to what has been collected from my earnings my entire working history, I also pay an additional $184 monthly for Medicare coverage.
And for decades the R's bitch about Democrats wanting to spend, spend, spend, and yet, without SPENDING ANYTHING on American's per se, we'll rack up more debt than can possibly be tackled in our kid's lifetime.
#Trump and his greedy cronies will have Americas most vulnerable working until their DEAD & eating Soylent Green!!
🇺🇸 America is in it's death spiral. RIP #Medicare ⚰️
meanwhile the antisemetic trump and GOP maga; keep trying to gaslight the American people and the World that they are defenders of Israel and that only they can accomplish peace! tell me how you do that with LIES????????????????????????
The GQP has no conscience, no sense of right or wrong. And they don't give a shit about the people they are supposed to represent.
They worship power and money. They helped install and support a lying felon. They imagine we won't remember. They pray we won't remember.
George, have you also seen there is a part of the bill that will prohibit them from being able to be held in contempt? Applies to criminal or civil and in future cases or past cases.
The funny thing is that I keep hearing how Trump is simply defying court orders and that Chuck Schumer caved to the GOP, but Trump and the GOP keep proving that Schumer was right with these attempts to neuter the courts.
From what I learned recently, although the Trump's Bill does not specifically has the word, "Medicare", written within the Bill, the PAGO Law would automatically start implementing cuts across the board to balance the Deficit spending, which would impact Medicare & Medicaid by slashing funding.
Imagine for a second: the year is 2012. The events of the last 5 months are pitched as a movie script. The writers are humiliated as they are laughed at and told that there was no way the entire government was going to basically turn into moustache twirling villans, too unrealistic, sorry.
They don’t kick in until after the 2026 and 2028 elections. That’s right—they structured it so Republicans get credit for the short-term sugar high (like increasing the standard deduction just in time for your 2026 tax return), then dodge accountability when the crash comes later. It’s a setup.
If they cut too much Medicare might see many dropping their Part B and opting for low income/sliding scale clinics. Most pay $2,200 yearly for Part B, plus a deductible of $257. Part A deductible of $1,676. Not counting the Part D premiums for drugs which vary plan to plan. Then it’s all 80/20. 🤷🏼♀️
They haven't acknowledged that most people who are on Medicare are paying around $175 every month for Medicare. They need to be educated on that. If they take away Medicare we want our money back. Medicare is not an entitlement
I don't pay that much in taxes for my universal healthcare for an entire year. I think in my tax bracket my yearly provincial contributions are somewhere around $110.00.
Mind you, I also pay 15% sales tax on everything but essentials, and a sin tax on booze, cigarettes, vaping etc.
The money we pay monthly is for hospital care. The rest we have paid over the years but get no credit for.
Too many hands in the pockets of insurance companies.
More like $185, then I pay $200 for a Medigap Supplement, and $13 for a prescription plan. I also pay my full dental costs out of pocket, along with vision which is why I buy cheap drugstore reader glasses. This country is a joke for medical care for anyone. Only make insurance companies richer.
It's based on SS amount. I don't think people know they are paying it
and I'm sure the nut jobs on trump's staff don't know but if they start cutting Medicare somebody needs to step up. Money we pay is for hospital. We really need universal health insurance managed by the SSA not for profit
Funny, my husband gets twice as much in SS as I do and he pays less. Whatever. I agree we need better. But, we also need health insurance that does not give us mandates on our coverage. I can go on and on about CMS mandates for coverage.
untrue. There is almost 75% fraud and fakery in medicare for last 6 decades. FORENSIC ACCOUNTING is called "slashing" to scare people like you George. stop being manipulated. I love your acting and role model from 1965-1969.... what Happend?
You want to know where the fraud is? Those foreign sounding people who call me constantly telling me they have this or that other thing, the last guy I couldn't understand, it had straps for my joints(?). Medicare will pay for it. Shipped to my house. I tell them to go f*ck themselves.

Kicking thousands if not millions off their healthcare.
These are the acts of people who should be nowhere near governance. They are legislative terrorists. Confederates. Traitors.
THE.
RICH.
Problem solved. Cowards.

GOP, sooner rather than later, probably.

That is absolutely wild to me that the most vulnerable people have to pay for the privilege of staying alive.
I am so sorry this is your reality over there.
Healthcare is a fucking human right. Full stop.
