The percentage is lower at the latest reports. However, many, a person of this era, are still alive. Some are seated in politics, making policies, and in government. They've passed their baton of thought on thinking its healthy inspiration.
No one hates them but them, they're angry, & void of joys.

Yes. The official fighting ended, but the war has raged on. The Confederates surrendered on the battlefield, but only on the battlefield. There was never any admission or coming to terms that they were "wrong" about anything, only weaker in formal war.
And now its 2025. And here we are.

The problem isn't that we were once more divided. The problem is that when the right side won, it was too weak and stupid to ensure the losers couldn't regroup and try again. So, they did, and they did. Now we see even more stupidity and weakness by those on the right side though out of power.
