Unprecedented step to outright ban or suspend political party participation in 2025 Pride events - Including Pride In London.
Pause for thought for we politicians and political parties to stand more firmly and visibly in defence of the long standing legal rights of trans and gender diverse people.

This is not discussion, this is removal of our rights. Please be clear on this.
#TransRightsAreHumanRights
The scientific fraud that is Cass for one.
But thank you for the first statement I've seen today that approaches this with the maturity it requires.
Frankly heads need to roll for the damage that has been done.
But thank you again.
Thanks
Trust is hard-won and easily lost. Given where we are, I'm not sure any words or actions will be enough to repair the damage done. The continuing assault by the current government does not make rebuilding trust any easier.
As a minor point of information, it's actually not as unprecedented as you might think. Bristol Pride actually took this step two years ago!
They were ahead of the game, I suppose!
Nevertheless lots of people recognised Carla Denyer so thanked and congratulated her for winning her seat. So many people seemed overjoyed that we'd ousted Thangam Debbonaire
Pride has always been a protest and for too long parties have used it as a vehicle for sanitising their values. No more. Politics have overwhelmingly stagnated LGBTQIA progress and it’s time to stop blocking us. Places at Pride are to be earned.
You're actually getting the point, rather than getting upset like other politicians.
We suffer ghoulish houndings by the media, hate groups disguised as "charities" and now the government, when we just want to live normal lives like everyone else.
Despite what the newspapers might claim, I don't pee out of my ears or whatever.
I've been using the same toilet and spaces as every other human in the world without any issues. It's all totally ridiculous.
It’s so wrong that trans people have been sucked into a vortex of divisive, hateful and bad faith campaigning to remove your rights.
I can only begin to imagine how hard these recent weeks have been.
Caroline, with respect, let's please say years. This concerted anti trans rhetoric been gaining traction and impetus for years....
I personally have help and support, but many don't, and I worry constantly about that.
I feel utterly trapped by all of this; by design no less.
A common Gender Critical phrase used in forums is "Turn 30% into 100%", where 30% is a rough rate of attempted suicide by trans ppl.
