Seattle was made by a guy who looked at Vancouver and said “what if we do that and then just put a four lane fuckikg highway through the middle of it” America is so evil

This is literally true - Vancouver had its devastating fire in 1886 and Seattle had its blaze in 1889, so the two cities we have now were built with more or less the same materials at the same time
seattles existence is a just a looney tunes set because the one time i went every highway into and out was stopped for a 2mph car chase where the guy was allegedly throwing explosives at the cops
I'm sure someone misses it, but looking through it to see the Olympics always made me wonder what sort of evil person would build such a thing in such a place.
I've been to Seoul, where they manage to have 8-lane highways going through the city everywhere but keep it walkable with narrow, pedestrianized streets in-between and lots of public transit.
This is really strange. It is a pretty small portion of the city and has a substantial amount of foliage, and Seattle as a whole is famous for being full of trees (Emerald City). Are you potentially thinking of the industrial district that is south of downtown?
Seattle wants to bury i5 much in the same way Boston did. It would be much better imo. I5 bridge south into Seattle is so loud for the surrounding neighborhoods
Vancouver was made by a guy who looked at [random European city] and said "what if we do that but also don't make transit any good or pedestrainize any of the streets".

I pray Seattle follows suit

Vancouver is much less walkable by comparison
stop acting like you can talk about it like this
