There was an article in politico just yesterday, talking about how the Europeans are going to retaliate against these tariffs by specifically going after the tech industry. You guys need to take your meds. π
Yes, this article explicitly referenced that, multiple times. For example, look at the paragraph starting "thereβs a pessimistic case for the industry as well"

Trumps donors are the corporation owners who offshored production and jobs. they also just pass along higher prices due to tariffs. Trump is punishing customers for the millionaires anti-American stances.
Kara Swisher maintains all these Tech "Bros" have pregnancy envy. They want to create "life" and are trying to do so with AI. Guess what guys, it's all fake and you can never do what a woman does. You cannot grow a human being no matter how much you try to destroy by trying to take over.
They can ramp up the prices and blame tariffs. I've been seeing it since Trump took office. Even if they use US fabs, that doesn't mean other components and raw materials don't come from other countries.
Because they're immature short-sighted money-grubbing lunatics who don't understand that the destruction of our democracy will boomerang back on them with a vengeance?
This came out before "Liberation Day festivities" revealed the plan. Would it be accurate to conclude what occurred corresponds to the "pessimistic case for the industry" described in the article?
Developing digital independence needs to be as great (or even greater) a priority as military independence. America is not an ally - we are not on the same team.
I urge everyone to do this where they can. To our collective detriment, we have been at the mercy of these companies too long.
