MSP prodded the council who in turn prodded the developers and now they have assured that future works will always include pedestrian access so when I feel well enough I can walk to the park again!

That day in Feb had been the first time in *months* I felt well enough to gather up camera gear and walk to the park, I paced carefully for it and got myself all together only to discover I couldn't get there! Not been worth risking the spoons since.
Next time she went they'd added a pedestrian route 😆
Good news is that the building work causing the chaos is a development of flats and they are required to finally put in a properly controlled junction with pedestrian crossing so when it's done it will be a huge QOL improvement
...especially since I've been roundly ignored by our Westminster MP (different guy, and a different party) on much bigger and more pressing issues recently. It's nice when somebody at least tries and *something* works.
