Apparently, Robert Davis actually stepped down when he heard Sarah was running to avoid splitting the vote. In which case, it would seem it's time to throw our support behind Sarah. While a Liberal candidate has zero chance, that riding could very well vote independent. #abpoli #battlerivercrowfoot

They will likely always vote some form of conservative. And I do realize the odds are likely they'll line up for Poilievre...however they are also very proud and very suspicious of "elites", and may yet recognize Poilievre does not actually care about them.

I left as soon as I was able, and it's true the rot in that area is deeply rooted. But ignoring the people who do want better but feel they have no choice does no one any good.

I grew up in that riding. It is one of the poorest areas in the province. Force fed RW propaganda from birth, heavy church influence, little opportunity to expand worldviews. There are good people there, nonetheless, and they do deserve better.

Very true. All we can do, I think, is help amplify the voices of people there who are at least recognizing that whatever their beliefs or interests are, Poilievre ain't the guy to represent them.
