Very. I have a friend lives not far from there. I was going to visit last summer, he warned that temperatures were peaking at 47°C, all businesses closing at 10am, and advice was to stay indoors. I didn't go. It might be worth going a bit later in the year, if you can.
Just had a thought, checked my WhatsApps and that extreme heatwave was actually 2023. In any case, if you were OK in Madrid and Granada, Valencia should be OK for you. If you do go and need relief from heat they have climate shelters (air conditioned, cold water etc).
Well I was going to say my parents used to rave about it as they lived about an hour south then I realised that was nearly 30 years ago so maybe things have changed🤷♂️
We stayed in Madrid last year which I loved for a week but travelled Valencia for the day it was lovely, wonderful architectural history & amazing indoor market to wander round, lots of cafes to relax. Good Renfe train service for travelling around
Went last year and it was really nice. We stayed near the beach, which is excellent, and goes on for miles. Easy tram links to Valencia itself. Not a lot to see, but that suited us as we went to relax, be lazy, eat nice food and have the odd drink or two.

Most people can't afford to run air conditioning all the time so you just boil.
